It is necessary to dewater the aqueduct and adjacent canal length at Bingley on the Leeds And Liverpool Canal. This is so urgent leak repairs can take place and investigate the wash walls. This work will take place on Tuesday 2nd August 2011. British Waterways staff will be on hand to advise boaters regarding the works progress. During this work the canal will be lowered for a period of approximately 5 hours and during this time craft users may congregate above Dowley Gap Lock and below Hirst Lock. |
