Canal stoppages

13-09-2011 : BRIDGE 18 HEBBLE END ON THE ROCHDALE CANAL

As a result of two blown down trees blocking navigation the area at Bridge 18, Hebble End Bridge, on the Rochdale Canal is currently closed to navigation.

Contractors are on site to remove these trees and British Waterways anticipate that the canal will re open tomorrow evening, Wednesday 14th September.
