Cruising the canals of the UK

Canal stoppages

12-04-2011 : CAEN HILL LOCK

The stoppage period at Caen Hill Lock 36 on the Kennet And Avon Canal has been extended to 22nd April 2011.

This is due to the unexpected poor condition of the bottom gate cills.

The lock will now re-open for navigation at 8am on Friday 22nd April 2011.

Lock number 22 will re-open to boat traffic on Wednesday 20th April and this will allow craft to travel up Caen Hill to lock number 45.
