Crufts is one of the largest dog events in the world and is being held at the NEC in Birmingham from 10th to 13th March. The show was set up in Victorian times by Charles Cruft and is a very important event for dog breeders and owners. Crufts not only celebrates best of breed, there are 22,000 dogs taking part to achieve the world class title of dfs Crufts Best in Show, but has categories for working dogs, Gamekeeper classes and for the Police Dog Team . The Arena programme is packed full of fantastic displays and competitions including Flyball, Heelwork to Music and Agility. Crufts is an ideal opportunity for dog lovers to talk to Kennel Club Accredited Breeders, rescue charities such as Blue Cross or RSPCA and training experts about how to enjoy life with your dog.
As a dog lover the best kind of holiday you could take this summer is one where your best friend can come with you. Dogs love a Canal Boat Holiday and with miles and miles of traffic free walking its no wonder. If canals hadn't been made for Canal Boats they would have been made for dogs and dog walkers. It will be doggy heaven as the canine community on canals get down to some serious tail-wagging. Most canal side pubs welcome dogs and what better way to relax after a long towpath walk than with a pint dont forget to give your canine friend a drink of water.
