A new project is being prepared which will see the history of the county's countryside told to those on Canal Boat Holidays in Shropshire. Dan Box, one of the developers for the Shropshire Wildlife Trust, has claimed that the area's landscape has had a profound impact on its inhabitants. The organisation is gathering stories about the interactions between humans and the landscape as part of the scheme, which could give those on Canal Boat Holidays in Shropshire inspiration about how to explore the region. Among the areas that will be highlighted as part of the initiative will be the Clee Hills, Oswestry Hills, Clun Forest and Telford's Green Network. Mr Box said: 'There are many [stories] across Shropshire, but all too often they go unheard. ' Earlier this month, the Guardian's Annabelle Thorpe claimed that Canal Boat Holidays in Shropshire can make the perfect Valentine's Day trip for foodies interested in visiting Ludlow, one of the country's food capitals. |
