People in search of Canal Boat Holidays in Bristol may want to think about making a booking for September, when a host of events are due to take place. Between September 11th and 26th, the Bristol Cycle Festival is to be held, during which more than 50 attractions will be on offer. Among the activities on offer will be workshops and games, cycle shows and a first for the city - a Freewheeling Carnival Parade. In addition to this, free cycle rides and training on how to ride safely will also be on offer to visitors. This follows the launch of Bike Belles, a publication from sustainable transport charity Sustrans, which aims to get women travelling on two wheels. It offers handy hints and tips on how to ride safely and what equipment is needed for a great journey on the many cycle routes which run throughout the UK. |
