People booking Canal Boat Holidays in the Warwickshire this year are to be given additional help finding things to do on their break after a new tourism resource was set up to promote Stratford-Upon-Avon. Following the demise of Shakespeare Country, the award-winning Creaky Cauldron museum is taking a new tactic, launching a new website entitled Straford-Upon-Avon: Not Just Shakespeare. Dave Matthews, chief executive officer of Seek the Magic Org, the company behind the Creaky Cauldron, said that the website will be a fundamental service for people looking for places to eat, events, festivals and nightlife. 'Stratford is a fantastic historic town and one we're deservedly proud of,' he went on to say. 'Each year it attracts 4 million tourists and we want to ensure that tourists continue to visit and the town remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. 'Shakespeare Country closed suddenly late last month after Stratford District Council withdrew funding. |
