People enjoying boat hire around Weaver Valley this autumn may find there are more horses in the area, as a new bridge has been opened to improve access for the four-legged creatures.

It provides a crossing over the river at Dutton Locks and will complement the existing walkway that is part of the Sustrans sustainable travel network, British Waterways noted.
