There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy on Canal Boat Holidays in Wiltshire, but one has been made all the more easier with the launch of a new guide.

VisitWiltshire has named its top off-road cycling routes, including those in the picturesque towns and villages of Marlborough, Stourhead and Longleat.

The length of the routes varies from six miles to 31 miles, meaning there is sure to be an option to suit all abilities.

Once they have completed their journeys, cyclists can head online to share their experiences with fellow outdoor enthusiasts on the VisitWiltshire website.

Residents of Croxley Green in Hertfordshire are currently being encouraged to walk and cycle more after it emerged they are some of the most vehicle-dependent in the UK.

More than half of journeys made in the car are less than five miles, Sustrans revealed.
