British Waterways is inviting registered charity and community Canal Boats to join in with the spirit of the Paralympic Games in 2012 by mooring close to the Olympic Park for free. This invitation offers these Canal Boats the opportunity to be moored in the heart of London near to the Olympic Park and to be a part of the brilliant atmosphere that will surround the Paralympic Games. Looking forward to the games Rebecca Bruce, of the Bruce Trust, said we are delighted to be offered this opportunity, and are really excited about bringing a boat down to London for the Paralympic Games. Sally Ash, Head of Boating, for British Waterways said This is a great opportunity to experience and be a part of the atmosphere in and around the Paralympic Games. We want to encourage as many charity and community boats to get involved and look forward to welcoming them onto Londons network of canals. Free moorings for charity and community boats are available for the duration of the Paralympic Games which will be held between 27th August and 10th September 2012 and must be booked in advance.
