A new illumination display in Cheshire could attract those on Canal Boat Holidays during the festive period. IllumiNESS is a flagship event for the Ness Botanic Gardens in Neston, using solar-powered lights and bio-fuel generators to turn the gardens into a sparkling wonderland for nine nights. Organisers promise that this will be a 'unique pre-Christmas spectacle', allowing visitors to see the 64-acre award-winning garden in a 'different light'. There will also be audio-visual displays including projected images from the Ness Botanic Gardens' 100-year history, plus a three-metre-high water curtain and dancing fountain. In addition, there will be a Christmas market for those on Canal Boat Holidays to buy gifts and local produce. A Christmas Bazaar is also taking place at nearby Peckforton Castle in Tarporley, which includes a Hog Roast and a visit from Santa. The IllumiNESS event is running from December 5th to December 13th and costs £12 for adult, £10 for concessions and £8 for children. |
