On 1st October 2011 at the Gloucester Waterways Museum on the Gloucester And Sharpness Canal will be holding a shanty festival.

This will be a day of music celebrating the historical connections to the sea and the waterways.

The main performance will be Where the Working Boats Went a musical look at canals past and present by folk duo Life and Times.

Some other acts who will join in with the celebrations are The Harry Browns of Bristol, The Gloucester Diamonds and Bees Knees.
