People on Canal Boat breaks throughout the UK are being urged to get active as part of the Change Your World Campaign.

By taking a walk or cycle ride along a canal towpath, the Change Your World charity hopes that enough mileage will be clocked up to equate to a round the world trip.

It hopes to promote the idea that by substituting transport for more sustainable means of getting around, the entire globe can benefit.

Participants will also be able to upload photos of themselves getting involved in the challenge and see how their journey fits in with everyone else who has taken part.

Anyone who puts their name down for the challenge will be entered into a prize draw to win a family break at Center Parks, with runner-up prizes including a spa treatment, book and organic veg box delivery.
