Heritage Open Days celebrates Englands architecture and culture by offering people free access to properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission. Every year on four days in September properties ranging from castles to factories to town halls and tithe barns open their doors for a wide range of tours. As part of this years Heritage Open Days you can enjoy free boat trips and activities on the Oxford Canal. There will be stalls, activities, crafts and displays in Pocket Park and Canal Boat trips will depart from Pocket Park or from above Isis Lock. Moor up at Braunston a pretty canal side village which is famous for the annual historic Boat Rally held at the end of June.
