As a result of the continued dry weather and reducing water resources the waterway between Kings Lock 38 to Kilby Lock 30 may be faced with closure  On current predictions this is expected to happen on Monday 24th October 2011.

British Waterways are advising that canal users who need to pass through this section to return to home moorings by this date.

Users who need to travel along this section are advised to contact the Fazeley office on 01827 252000 to inform the local team of the date of their intended passage.

Please be advised that navigation is only possible between 10am and 2pm.

British Waterways will continue to monitor the situation and update.
