Ten drawings by Leonardo da Vinci are being loaned to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery by the Royal Collection which is owned by the Queen. The drawings will go on show at the citys museum to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee in 2012. They have been chosen to show the range of Leonardo da Vinci techniques and interests such as botany, engineering and map making. The exhibition of the ten drawings will help to mark 60 years of the Queens reign and will be held in between 13 January and 25 March 2012.
