Due to an exceptionally dry spring and summer so far the reservoir levels for the Oxford Canal are close to the minimum at which they can operate.

  Access between Lock 15 Marston Doles to Lock 21 Claydon will be allowed between 9am 4pm only each day and they will be locked outside these times.

Boats are asked to share when in this area and craft users are asked to be patient and wait for other boats in order that the little water available is conserved.

The affected stretch will take approximatively 5 hours to travel and you need to take this into account when planning your journey.
