Kate Middleton and her family have had their new coat of arms officially unveiled.

The 4,400 pound heraldic design includes three acorns, a blue and red background, and a gold chevron.

Above and below the gold chevron are two thin white chevrons which are a reference to their love of the Lake District and skiing.

As well as the white chevrons there are also other references contained within the lozenge shaped design.

The three acorns are to symbolise the parents three children and the oak tree is a reference to west Berkshire and a British image of strength.

Currently a tied ribbon represents Kates unmarried status and following the Royal Wedding on 29th April Kates coat of arms will be combined with her husband Prince Williams family emblem.

With only days to go now until the Royal Wedding London will be preparing its self for the celebration.
