It has been confirmed by St James' Palace in London that the honour of best man has been given to Prince Harry. Prince William and Kate Middleton are to be married on 29th April 2011 at Westminster Abbey and it will be the responsibility of the best man to ensure everything runs smoothly. The best man has a host of duties to preform including helping the groom pack for his honeymoon, ensuring the minster has been paid his fee, keeping the brides ring safe and of course to make that all important speech. A relative new tradition and one that is sure to prove interesting and not to mention attract media coverage is arranging the stag night.
Prince William is second in line to the throne and is the son of Prince Charles and the late Lady Diana Spencer. Kate is the daughter of Michael and Carole Middleton and is the oldest of three children. She grew up in the small Berkshire village of Bucklebury near Newbury and attended schools nearby. Prince William and Kate Middleton met when they where attending St Andrews university in Scotland.
