James Bond author Ian Fleming also wrote the story of the magical car Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. This famous vintage car is set to fly again with the publication of a new series of stories by writer Frank Cottrell Boyce. The new story will be set in modern times and will centre around a family who discover an old racing car engine and use it in their VW camper van. The originally book was brought to life in the 1968 musical directed by Ken Hughes and starred Dick Van Dyke as Caractacus Potts and Sally Ann Howes as Truly Scrumptious. Boyce is a British children’s novelist and scriptwriter who has worked with movie directors including Michael Winterbottom and Danny Boyle.
