There are many things associated with Scotland, but those on Canal Boat Holidays in the country have been invited to learn all about its famous tipple. The National Trust for Scotland's Brodie Castle is hosting a number of events to celebrate whiskey and teach people all about the national drink. Visitors will be able to take part on May 1st in a whiskey tasting session with John Clotworthy and ceilidh dancing in the castle grounds. Property manager Charlie Finlayson commented: 'Whether they have a passing interest in the spirit or a fully developed palate, the event is sure to go down a treat with our visitors. 'A book signing will also take place, so visitors can get the chance to meet Gavin D Smith, author of many guides to the famous Scottish tipple. Additionally, May will mark a series of events for Culzean Castle and Country Park in Ayrshire, which has a fun-packed programme arranged for tourists. |
