The Gloucester Tall Ships Festival is being held at Gloucester Docks from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th August, 2011.

Five sailing ships will be making their way up the Gloucester And Sharpness Canal during the course of this event.

The size, manoeuvrability and stopping distance of the ships means it is important that their passage is not obstructed, particularly on the approach to bridges.

Please ensure priority is given to the tall ships at all times and follow the advice of the British Waterways bridge keepers who will be assisting with passage on specific sections of the canal.
