A tiny fossil has been found at brickworks is Sussex and although it looks like a bird it is in fact the smallest dinosaurs ever discovered. The creature has been nicknamed the Ashdown maniraptoran and is bird shaped and measures between 33cm and 40cm in length dates back to about 250 million years ago. Dinosaur expert Dr Steve Sweetman said It represents the smallest dinosaur we have yet discovered in the European fossil record.
There are a host of fossils on display in UK museums and a Canal Boat Holiday gives you and your family an opportunity to visit them. Many of the museums have free entry so you really do not need to spend a fortune to have a good time. On your Canal Boat Holiday you choose your own itinerary you stop when you want to stop and go when you want to go. The difficulty will be where to stop do you choose a nature museum or a city full of culture. Do you visit an ancient castle or monument or a state of the art science museum. Places you would normally rush by or even not notice are there to be discovered on a Canal Boat Holiday so take time and enjoy some of Britains museums.
