Those hoping to embark on UK Canal Boat Holidays may find they can make even bigger savings on their break by taking heed of some top tips.

Com, suggested that avoiding peak times such as the school holidays means people can enjoy their holiday for less.

They may also find that destinations are not as busy, as families are likely to wait until after schools break up on July 23rd to make the most of top attractions.

'If you are tied to going away in the school holidays, May half term will be cheaper than the summer peak in July and August,' he advised.
