More people are likely to take UK Canal Boat Holidays and other breaks in the country if the weather stays fine, it has been suggested. James Berresford, VisitEngland's chief executive officer, emphasised that people are keen to make the most of the warm conditions. 'Seaside resorts up and down the country benefit from the sunshine and we're delighted that the predictions for an ice-cream summer seem to be coming true,' he continued. Mr Berresford highlighted that even when the weather does change, England still remains a great destination to be explored. For example, it has a wide range of top attractions for people on Canal Boat Holidays to enjoy, the expert added. According to a report from Sheffield Hallam University, the seaside tourist industry in England and Wales remains a substantial and growing employer. Findings showed it directly supports 210,000 jobs spread across more than 100 resorts. |
