For those on Canal Boat Holidays in Scotland, a route up the Tay from Perth to Dunkeld is another ideal route to follow, the publication added.

Anyone feeling particularly active over the coming days can head to London to take part in the Mayor of London's Skyride, which passes a number of the city's historic sites.
