The number of penguins in western Antarctica has halved in the last 30 years and the experts believe that warmer seas could be to blame. The young penguins eat krill, small shrimp like animals, but the warmer sea temperatures mean that there is fewer krill to eat. The krill need ice to survive and some scientists think climate change is causing Antarctic ice to melt faster and for the seas to warm up. With less Krill to eat the penguins are struggling to survive.
