04-10-2011 : WOLVERHAMPTON LOCK FLIGHT

Due to a very serious pollution incident on the Birmingham Canal, Old Main Line the Wolverhampton Lock Flight will be closed with immediate effect until 7pm tonight.

The Environment Agency will be treating the water with chemicals to prevent furtherfish loss.

The purpose of the closure is to ensure any water movement down the flight is controlled to allow for the correct chemical dosage.
