10-10-2011 : WYRLEY AND ESSINGTON CANAL

Pollution is continuing to move along the canal and this is stripping the oxygen levels.

The canal will be closed between Horseley Fields Junction and Birchalls Junction whilst British Waterways continue to treat the canal with chemicals.

Because there is no definitive way of treating such pollutions their plans may change over the coming hours but they will be updating the situation .
