It seems women have the upper hand when it comes to choosing where to take Narrowboat holidays and other breaks. New research from Tesco Bank reveals 27 per cent of females believe they are most likely to influence the decision of where to go, compared to just 17 per cent of men. Furthermore, one in five of those polled said they always spend more on holiday than they intended, while a third said they always take too much cash with them. John Howells, head of travel money at Tesco Bank, said: 'With the average person spending £338 each week whilst away, it is essential people find the best deal to make your holiday money stretch a lot further. 'British Waterways statistics show a record number of people visited canals across the UK last year, up by 26 per cent when compared to the previous year. |
