Until 19th December 2011, due to vehicle impact damage to the parapets Bates Mill Bridge 109 has become unsafe for use.

Canal Boat and craft users are requested to follow instructions issued by the site team boats and to be aware that navigation will remain open during the repair works but delays of up to 30 minutes may be expected.

Please follow instructions issued by the site team boats.

For towpath users there will be a diversion from under the bridge to cross the carriageway.
