Hyder Consultants, on behalf of British Waterways,will examine and access the structure at Swing Bridge, Great Northern Basin at Langley Mill. The Canal will remain open to navigation during these works but The Gate by Langley Bridge Lock, giving access to the Great Northern Basin and Langley Mill Boatyard, will be closed and locked for the duration. A diversion has been arranged by the rear of the Great Northern inn and along the gated road towards the swing bridge. In the case of adverse weather conditions this restriction may be rearranged or delayed. The works are currently planned to take place between Monday 16th and Friday 20th Jan 2012. |
