The Dartmoor and Exmoor Low Carbon Festival 2010 will be held on October 19th and 10th, with Narrowboat holidaymakers invited to join in the fun.

It promises a wide variety of events, including everything from a food festival to guided walks, community events to an eco fashion show.

Richard Drysdale, sustainable tourism officer at the Dartmoor National Park Authority, said: 'Last year the festival was a great success with a variety of events and tours highlighting how we can make changes to support the environment.

'Anyone hoping to sample some of the best of Dartmoor's local produce needs to head over to the food and drink festival, which takes place at the Finlake Holiday Park.

Here, local chefs will be on hand with some excellent recipes, while cookery classes for children are sure to provide fun for all the family.

The Tour of Britain is to pass through Dartmoor this month, with cyclists en route to the finish line in Glastonbury.
