Welsh heritage minister alun ffred jones said that, as one of the largest contemporary arts prizes in the world, the event will be a strong draw for visitors such as those taking canal boat holidays in wales. 'the prize recognises bold and interesting artists from around the world and i encourage anyone with an interest in contemporary art to visit the exhibition of this year's finalists,' he said.
Arts aficionados visiting the country at the moment have also been offered the chance to see a performance of grace williams' rare classical piece missa cambrensis, following the launch of newly-edited scores this month.
