16-07-2010 : Canal boat holidays in Wales 'great for relaxation'

There are plenty of opportunities to relax while on canal boat holidays and other breaks in wales, it has been claimed.  A spokesperson for visit wales noted that with miles of unspoilt beaches and fantastic nature to be seen, there are many activities to keep holidaymakers occupied.

'pembrokeshire is proud to be home to the first coastal national park, which has helped to maintain this high standard and by summer 2012 it will be possible to walk around our entire coastline,' she explained.  Meanwhile, if the weather does turn out to be less than desirable, visitors can visit the anglesey sea zoo or the white water rafting centre in cardiff, the expert advised.

The minister for heritage in wales alun ffred jones has announced almost £16 million in funding to create four tourism centres to provide facilities for outdoor and adventure activities across wales.
