Wales canal boat holidays06-07-2010 : Drop into 'haunted' Gregynog Hall on Wales canal boat holidays |
Tourists on canal boat holidays in wales may be interested in passing by gregynog hall on their travels, which could be home to a number of ghosts. The university of wales building is located close to the powys canal in tregynon, newtown and was recently visited by the tv show most haunted.
Staff at the university of wales, which owns the building, have been reporting strange happenings for a number of years, which prompted further exploration by the 'most haunted' team. Commenting on the decision to allow the team to investigate the building, director karen armstrong described an incident in which her father was alleged to have met a ghost known as william.
She said: 'i caught my dad holding a door open for a man in a black coat that clearly wasn't there. 'he didn't believe in ghosts until that day.
i don't either but i always say goodnight to william when i'm the last to leave the building at night – just in case!'those canal boat holiday tourists that are not keen on ghost spotting will find plenty more to do in the local area, including daily guided tours of castell henllys in ceredigion, or the pig racing at cantref adventure farm. |
