06-09-2012 : GLOUCESTER LOCK EVENT 200

Between 7th September and 10th September, as part of the 200th anniversary celebrations of the opening of the original basin at Gloucester to River Barges, the moorings on North Quay and East Quay, including Finger Pontoons, in Gloucester Docks, River Severn will be reserved for visitors involved in the celebrations.

Moorings will still be available on West Quay and outside of the Docks on a first come first served basis but take note that the moorings on the Barge Arm will be reserved for disabled boaters.

On Saturday 8th September, between 1pm and 3pm, no boat movements will be allowed through Gloucester Lock and the Docks.

Please also be aware that between noon and 1pm there will be increased boat movement in the Lock, Docks and Partings in preparation for the official celebrations taking place at 2pm.

Please proceed with caution and take the advise to the advice of the event organisers and Lock Keepers .
