16-05-2012 : LEEDS AND LIVERPOOL CANAL

On 16th May 2012 between 7am and 1pm the navigation and the towpath will be closed between Bridge number 129b and Bridge 130E.

This section of the Leeds And Liverpool Canal and towpath are closed as instructed by the Lancashire Constabulary due to the visit of Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Phillip to the Weavers Triangle.

Public access to the area is by invitation only.

Canal Boat and other craft users are advised to moor and await permission to proceed from Waterway staff and pedestrians should follow local diversions and follow specific Police advice.
