The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Fringe, is the largest arts festival in the world and is currently being held in the city.

The Royal Mile in the centre of the city will be packed with people watching the ongoing street fair and the street entertainers Each year for three weeks during August thousands of performers take to a multitude of stages all over Edinburgh to present shows.

As well as the Fringe Edinburgh has a range of attractions to suit all ages from the brilliant Dynamic Earth to The Whiskey Heritage Centre.

Built into rugged rock overlooking Princes Street Gardens a visit to Edinburgh Castle is a must.

the castle is Home to the Crown Jewels and Stone of Destiny.

Join in the fun at The Fringe and explore the city of Edinburgh from a Canal Boat Holiday from Falkirk.

Our Canal Boat Marina at Falkirk is close to Stirling and is easily reached from both Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The base is situated right beside the Falkirk Wheel visitor centre on Forth And Clyde Canal so a trip on the Wheel is right on the doorstep.

Falkirk is our most northerly location and the only one based in Scotland and is located between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The Scottish Lowland Canals are quite different to those in England, The Forth and Clyde is a sea canal and is much wider than the average English canal and The Union Canal is a contour canal and has no locks and no bridges .
