The childrens TV programme Blue Peter has made its final broadcast from the BBCs Television Centre in London.

As part of the farewell they broke the world record for the most people to hula hoop at the same time.

After the summer break Blue Peter will be broadcast from new studios in Salford, Greater Manchester.

Even the famous Blue Peter garden will be moved and allocated to a new site on a studio roof at the BBC new complex.

Blue Peter is the longest running childrens programme in the world and was first broadcast in October 1958.

The programme is not the only one to move BBC Sport, TVs Breakfast programme and Radio 5 live are also moving to Salford.
