The Little Britain star David Walliams has completed his epic swim along the length of the River Thames.

He was welcomed last night by fans and celebrities at the finish post opposite the Houses of Parliament.

After finishing he joked A bath is the only water I want to see for quite a while.

He has raised more than 1 million pounds for Sport Relief during the 140 mile swim which he started on 5th September.

During the swim David battled cold temperatures and came down with a tummy bug, and over the weekend he even managed to rescue a dog that could not get out of the water.
