Unseasonal balmy temperatures have hit near record highs for February with the mercury soaring from minus 18C to plus 18C in less than two weeks.

It was more like spring particularly across the Midlands where there was also plenty of sunshine.

The highest temperature on Thursday was in Coleshill, Warwickshire, where the mercury peaked at 18.

It is expected that next week temperatures are expected to surge again and will be pleasantly warm in the mid teens.

In fact it was hotter in most parts of Britain than in north Africa and Spain.

Take advantage of this wonderful spring like weather and book a Canal Boat Holiday.

A Canal Boat Holiday will take you to a different part of Britain every day and you choose your own itinerary and you stop when you want to stop and go when you want to go.

The problem is what to choose do you visit a state of the art science museum, a ruined castle or an adventure park.

Do you moor up near to a quiet canal side village or in a city centre full of history and culture.

A Canal Boat Holiday is superb for families and certainly one that you can all enjoy together.

The kids will love helping at the locks and can under adult supervision even have a go at steering the Canal Boat.

Your Canal Boat will be bright and modern and have all the comforts of home.
