20-09-2013 : FUN FILLED DAY AT HEBDEN BRIDGE

Canal Boat Holiday guests cruising the Rochdale Canal this Saturday are invited to join a fun-filled day of boating, walking and woodcraft.

Hop on board a Canal Boat at Hebden Bridge for a trip down the Rochdale Canal to the woodlands at Callis.

Here, you can take part in traditional woodland crafts and activities, including charcoal making and storytelling.

Follow the guided history and wildlife walk back to Hebden Bridge in time for a barbeque of local food cooked over local charcoal.

The Rochdale Canal runs for 33 miles between Manchester and Sowerby Bridge in Yorkshire.

At Sowerby Bridge it connects with the Calder and Hebble Navigation and in Manchester it is linked to the Ashton and Bridgewater Canals.

The canal was re-opened to navigation along its entire length in July 2002 and forms part of the South Pennine Ring.
