The Harry Potter author JK Rowling has finally revealed to fans what her new project called Pottermore is all about.

For weeks now Harry Potter fans have been looking online and trying to crack a mysterious code.

The project is a new website featuring brand new material and will be launched on Harry Potter's birthday on 31st July.

As well as stories behind some of the favourite characters , new illustrations there will be a series of questions which will determine which house you should be in at Hogwarts.

Scenes from the films and TV series have been shot on location in the UK and many are easily reached on a Canal Boat Holiday.

The magnificent cathedral in Gloucester served as Hogwarts and the cloisters there provided the setting for several scenes in the film.

London plays a big part in the Harry Potter films when the Dursleys go to the Zoo it is filmed at London Zoo in Regents Park.

Platform nine and three quarters is where Harry catches the steam train to Hogwarts this was filmed on Platform 4 at Kings Cross Station.
