The A to Z of the UK Part 2 was issued by the Royal Mail on Tuesday and The Roman Baths , a World Heritage Site, was chosen to represent the letter R.

The Royal Mail had a problem with the letter X and it was decided to use station X by using a picture of Bletchley Park, the top secret intelligence centre where the Nazi Enigma code was cracked during World War II.

Many London locations where used, the home of the Prime Minster, 10 Downing Street, was used for the letter D, The Victoria and Albert Museum used for the letter V and The Old Bailey used for the letter 0.

Another UK major city to represent the new stamp collection was Manchester with The Town Hall being used for the letter M.

You can view many of the locations used by Royal Mail on their news A to Z stamp collection on a Canal Boat Holiday.
