Any Canal Boat Holiday guests visiting Warwick next weekend should moor for a while and join The Saltisford Canal Trust, as the are taking part in the Heritage Open Days.

Next weekend to celebrate there will be a free, fun packed, special canal heritage events on Saturday and Sunday.

Head over to the canalside gardens in the centre of Warwick where you will find a craft marquee with handmade gifts and a cake stall.

Outside will be short boat trips aboard Saltie 2, a historic Narrowboat, model boat displays, children's activities, folk music, and a chance to meet a friendly baby alpaca and some pygmy goats.

Whilst exploring Warwick be sure to visit the castle where you can go back in time to 1898 and be a guest at a house party hosted by Daisy, Countess of Warwick meet Daisy and her friends preparing for their party.

If you are feeling brave visit The Castle Dungeon and no visit to the castle would be complete without a trip to the top of the towers.

Scale the steps and admire the stunning views of the surrounding winter landscape of the Warwickshire countryside.

The town centre of Warwick is only a very short stroll from the Castle and set amidst historic building are a vast array of antique shops and second hand bookshops.

Warwick has a great variety of caf├ęs, restaurants and other eateries.
