Warwickshire canal boat holidays

The white tailed sea eagle that went missing from Warwick Castle last Thursday has been found.

Stanley had been missing ever since he flew off during a show at the Warwickshire tourist attraction.

His trainer Chris O Donnell said they received a call from someone who had spotted Stanley in a field next to Leamington Rugby Club.

His handler Paul Rees is at the club hoping to lure the eagle down from a pine tree.

The 10 year old bird of prey has a wingspan of more than 6ft and his keepers said he is fairly timid.

Stanley is named after Kazakhstan, where he is originally from, and has been flying at the castle for more than eight years.

You can visit Warwick Castle and view the bird of prey show in which, hopefully, Stanley will take part on a Canal Boat Holiday cruising the Grand Union Canal.

At Warwick Castle you can go back in time to 1898 and be a guest at a house party hosted by Daisy, Countess of Warwick meet Daisy and her friends preparing for their party.

Experience some of the darkest, bloodiest and most frightening times in the Castle Dungeon which takes you back to 1345 when the town was gripped by the plague.

In true Dungeon style, gore seekers will be greeted by decaying bodies, chanting monks, torture implements, execution and the labyrinth of lost souls.

Take a walk around the Castle gardens which were designed by Capability Brown in 1705.
